I've seen it before too. "pure Pellets" just means there are no additives such as oils. When I burned stick wood, I would see different colors on a regular basis. I'm guessing that bark carries more impurities than the inner wood. I will admit that it hasn't been often that I have seen greens with burning pellets, but it does happen. Course I'm not sitting there watching the fire on the basement stove and my back is to the P43 when I'm in the living room, so I would miss most of the time tjat tjere are colors present. Just enjoy the show.
