    Took the wife's new snow tires out for a spin late last night. WOW. What a difference. Only about an inch or two of snow but they start, stop, and turn rather than spin and slide like her old, well-worn all-seasons.

    We live on a semi-maintained private road with a steep hill at the entrance to the neighborhood. I've always driven a 4x4 pickup and her previous vehicle was AWD. So no real trouble. Last year we traded her SUV for a mini-van and we had trouble in any kind of snow. Those old tires must have been some hard compound or just shot as they were useless in even a light snow.

    I did 25 minutes on the treadmill with two bowls of Cheerios for supper. I think I'll up both sessions to 25 minutes so that by Sunday morning I can hit 209 or maybe even 208.

    Snow tires are a whole 'nother world. Like night and day. Just don't run them after the weather warms up as they wear like crazy on summer roads.

    The steak on Sunday will taste good but after that I'll stay on this crazy diet until 205. Once I get down to 205 my treadmill workouts will be cut down to one 25 minute session three days per week until I see how my weight is eating somewhat normal.

    I was getting bored on the treadmill until I started playing music, good luck on your jaunts and wear that same t-shirt for a month. :thumbs:

    Another cold sunny day here. campinspecter is off to the vets with Rascal. Rascal is going to be missing a couple of teeth and have the others cleaned by the time they get back. The other two were disappointed they couldn't go and Rascal is wondering what's going on that they can't come.

    Work is continually being hit with sick staff and students. This illness going around is wicked. Spring break can't come soon enough!
