Yes, we need lots of new faces. Worry not, we have room for many here. We don't have much, but space we do have and you are welcome to it for the weekend.
One thing I forgot to post about the gtg, if anyone wishes to take home a pickup load or trailer load of wood, please feel free to do so.
You are a good candidate Dennis. You get two of my votes each year. Unfortunately the third on the list. But I like the fourth one as well!
A consideration is the restriction on moving wood. Until this last fall I could not move any wood between counties and interstate movement is still restricted here.
I know here in Ohio (Northern Ohio anyways, not sure of the southern counties) we have had all moving bans lifted. Guessing the same goes for Michigan as it came from there. Not many, if any ash trees left here.
If anyone decides to tent in the "pine barrens" at Dennis' leave a lantern glowing after say, 1 am.....or else!
Chief here. I really hate to tell you all, because Mimi, Buddy and I were coming for sure. So excited that we would get to see everyone, old and new. But, it turns out my son is running in the Boston Marathon, something he has worked hard to qualify for. At 41, he finally did. He runs the weekend before the GTG, and we are going to Boston! We will not be home in time to make the trip to Michigan. So, regrettabley we will not see all of our old friends or new ones. When you all sit around the camp fire (Dennis's wood is hopefully seasoned and not smoking, lol) tell tales of the Chief, Mimi, and Buddy. We will miss you all! Probably call that weekend just to check to see how you all are doing. Chief
X2!! Was great to meet you last year at Dennis' GTG. Go support your Son! That is far more important. We will take plenty of pics and keep you posted brother.
