I think on Friday night we received about 6 inches of snow and maybe another two since.

Once we get another three we'll take the sleds for a small ride. Under the Pines on the trails around the house it's about 3 or 4 at the most. I talked with a guy who works for our town, he said we received 8 inches.

For us, standard deduction is giving our money away to the government.

It's more work to do itemized, but it works much better for us.

I'm nearly done with ours. Just need to check in on one bit of information from last year's taxes to ensure we doing it the same. I'm burnt on it today though. I'll hopefully get finished tomorrow.

Caffeine going in. Slept in again, until 6:30 this morning. It's been a nice loooong weekend. Garage is all cleaned out. I can see almost the whole top of my bench!

The scale said 212.5 this morning before the workout so I grabbed a new shirt, if I'm close to 208 on Super Bowl Sunday then we'll be having some nice steaks with a hot tomato salad.

    Good job thewoodlands!

If you can set your goal at staying under 215 year round you won't have as much to lose when you start to gain a little.

I decided that today is the day I get more serious about my carb and sugar intake being cut down. Thanks for the inspiration!

Thanks Gasifier , I think it's harder on the wife because we like a good meal but it's almost over.

It's got to be hard for you with the kids and the wife, the snacking and ice cream was what got me but like you said if I keep my weight between 205 - 215 that will be good. Once I hit 205 the treadmill workouts will get cut back to one twenty minute session per day or less per week depending on how the weight is.

Great job thewoodlands ! :handshake: ... as Gasifier said great inspiration... I've maintained my weight for a couple of years... I've tried just haven't lost or gained much... I think most of it is due to my work hours and the food intake around them...:emb:... but you've got me thinking about it, so there's a step in the right direction......

Eating right is a way of life.
The boy insists I cook and not mom. :cool:Kid plows fresh garden veggies .
It's tough with the schedule we both keep. Easy peasey come
Garden season. We literally eat out of the garden.
Lost 55 lbs and have kept it off.
    Wasn't even hard to do.
Good for you guys getting healthy.

At freezing this morning. Should be a sunny day with cloudy periods. We are suppose to be in a stretch of sunny weather for the next four days. I am getting back into the swing of things at work but today could be a bit of a zoo with the start of a new semester. Everyone will want their new schedule and every 10th student will lose theirs and want another one. so much for the paperless age.

I usually start this weight loss thing in the middle or late February, this year I'll have the weight gone when it's time for cutting.

My wife loves to cook but at my age, I can't eat a big meal almost every night without packing on the pounds, it's not her fault.....I was taught to eat what's in front of you and that turned into two plates per meal the last few years.

Most of my weight was put on by September of last year (224) so I really didn't gain that much over the Holidays after the big meals.

I know it isn't that possible for most people but because of my work schedule, we eat our big dinner meal at 1:00 PM and then have something light in the evening. It helps with sleeping at night and you keep active after the bigger meal. I have really missed the walking we were doing in the morning so I have put on "surgery" weight. I have another month before I can get out there and start walking to work it off.

Today turned out to be devoted to helping my Mom and Dad out. My Mom is down and out with something. At 83 we want to get after whatever it is. Took her to the doctors and back home and now getting her prescription antibiotic and some groceries for the cold or whatever.

P.A. said her lungs are clear, probably an infection.

It is hard with kids Zap. I just made these as a favor to the wife.
IMG_2624.JPG She is with 18 little ones at work all day. So I try to get some things done for her if I'm on a day off. Our youngest is having two friends over after school and they wanted to have a birthday cup cake decorating thingy. They will have a ball with these and the wife watching over them. (We just had cake and ice cream yesterday!:picard:)

But I learned it really is amazing what we can do if we put our mind to it. Then add some determination and energy and before we know it we can do unbelievable things!
