Just installed the wife's new radio in the kitchen. Dang thing has a terrible antenna! Looks like I get to open it up and solder a real antenna onto it! :zip::confused:

Most people will use the Bluetooth part, so the antenna is an antiqity. Or so they thought.

Supposedly FM radio transmissions are going the way of the dodo bird.

She likes some local stations so it's still nice to have and we do use Bluetooth too. It's a cheap radio but she got it for 15 years service to sparrow hospital! Freebie :handshake:

    Nice....Bluetooth will come on handy.

Is the "antenna" a little 8" 24 or 26 gauge wire? I put up an undercounter unit a while back....we could only get a couple stations.

Got to church this am...had missed a couple weekends. Felt like I was recharged coming out of the service today.

Made bars for the neighbors, worked some more on the back wall/kitchen/attic.

Installed TurboTax...not sure how much I will get done on that. As I input everything I always end up getting angry how much I give to our government.
Maybe I need a beer before I start that? :)

schlot , I used to get mad about what I would owe on taxes, then I started with things like deductions and other life choices have had me getting a good amount of $ back at tax time.

I look forward to tax time now.

I still require beer though while doing taxes.

Agreed, deductions are the best part. Not just seeing how it helps reduce the tax burden, but looking at the charities we give too and hoping the money makes a difference.

On the other hand revisiting the total alimony I paid over the year....well that's not as much fun. :)

Im honestly not sure I am on call this weekend so it will have to wait till I have a day that I can open it up and not need to throw the tools back in my van and rush off to a farm repair. I had to go this morning and fix a milk receiver for a smaller farm. They couldn't milk due to a bad pump... You should have heard the cows man they where mooing up a storm and unhappy. Then I got home and installed the radio which consisted of a template that was almost 1/4" off on the measurements and cheap plastic spacers that where not the same size. Then the battery on the remote was dead ( from the factory ):headbang: I also couldn't figure out the cd player because it doesn't auto detect:rofl: :whistle:

Anyhoooo I have to take it back off and open it up the antenna is internal so I will probably make a cheap signal booster and solder the antenna to it. hopefully that works....

Dont even get me going on taxes:picard:I am about to go do some wiring in my basement though!:hair::hair::hair: Those tools are mine! No solder required.

Yeah, I've got no idea about that alimony part. I'll keep it that way.

Can't itemize. Standard deduction treats us better these days.

I just came in from being outside since this morning, it was all spent pushing or moving snow with the tractor and the rhino with the plow. I used the rhino near some drop - offs on our driveway and for pushing back some banks in a few tight fitting areas.

I did come in at one for a bowl of cereal and a coffee, after that I checked the fluids....added some axle oil on the front left side and everything else was good. Tomorrow after putting in some wood I'll grease the tractor.

I did make my way down to the neighbors to scrape down his driveway and clear a path to the propane tank.

All that's left is my little workout on the treadmill and then the big meal............more cereal, :hair:

yooperdave , before my treadmill workout I decided to weigh myself.........the scale said 213 but I still used that same shirt so if I weigh 214 or under tomorrow morning before the workout I'll grab a new shirt.

Before I was going downstairs for my workout I could smell something that the wife was cooking.........some burgers in butter and some onions. :hair:

Better hang on to that shirt one more day after those butter burgers!!

I stepped on the scale about 1/2 ago and it read 222!

obviously, something wrong with it again!

I wouldn't be able to hurt her feelings like that....I'd have eaten those burgers! Maybe that has something to do with the 222....??

I usually eat when she cooks but I told her that I really wanted to stay the course, another two weeks and then we'll go out for a nice meal or have one here.

I'm making the sacrifice between the two of us......all that weight you're losing has to go somewhere and I guess I'm the lucky recipient!
