Yea but this was your dad's great not yours right?? No biggie again. That's cool story.

I still own the same farm that my dad's side has had for 200+ years. Quit anything farm related in the early 80s though. And St that point if they had anything it was still some beef cows.

Yes supposedly the saw was my dad's great Grandpa's. The farm was owned and run by my dad's grandpa, who would have been the son in law of the one with the saw.

When it comes to parents, I made a good choice. I am 69 years old and still go to visit my dad every year. Yes, he is well over 90 but still going strong and living with his second wife. You young 40 year olds without living grandparents, I feel for you but really don't want to join you.
As far as chain saws, my grandfather was sharpening chains for a county crew who were out cutting trees in the neighborhood without a clue that their saw was dull. He walked up to them and basically said "give me that saw for a few minutes and then you can have it back" because he couldn't stand to watch incompetents pushing a chain through a tree trunk by main force.

I see him when I can. He is a snow bird so catching up with him can be a challenge. In summer he is at Port Erie in Ontario but in winter he lives in Orlando. At X-mas he always goes on a Caribbean cruise.
