116si and a 133 and I'll tell you what I think the 116 would keep up with the 133 if I put the Long bar on it what a ripper!

Could not quit make out the numbers on the 116si. Thought it was a 120. Both are great saws though. They sure had some compression in those saws.

The 116si or 6000i are on my list to find. They look like super strong 60cc saws.

Added another 041G recently. Pretty good specimen, not minty or without damage, but has all of the desirable parts present and accounted for!

Thanks. It's funny to me that they made a gear drive version of the 041, but I love 'em anyways!

I've got a regular 041 that was my dads great grandpas it's in one of the pictures back a few posts and sports a 3/8 20" bar. What will the gear drive pull? 3/4 Harvester chain and bar?

LOL! As a matter of fact it actually was pretty impressive. This was a factory 61cc chainsaw fitted with a .404 pitch sprocket. You got into some sizable machines in the Stihl lineup before the .404 was a standard issue above this joker. You'll commonly see these with a 20" bar, but they also frequently wore a 25". Think about that; a 61cc chainsaw with a 25" bar and .404 chain!!!

I'll be 31 in April, Dad's 56 this year and he told me his great grandpa gave him the saw when he turned 16 and it sat since I was little under the workbench so I cleaned her up for Father's Day for him this year.

Still I guess this blows my mind?? My dad's grandad died died before saws like that were built, let alone his great grandad, he had to be dead in the great depression era just guessing.

My dad is 63 but I'm 4 years or so older than you so my dad only had me like 3 years later in life than your dad. Still he must of been OLD when he bought that saw.

I'm not saying your lieing, I just started thinking my 2x great grandad died way before chainsaws were around? Maybe this guy is like 18 and all his family had kids at like 20 and maybe that was possible. Ha

I would agree with that...no later than 70s I think? Google or NewToStihl stihl could tell us I'm sure.

I was just envisioning what my 2x great dad had on the farm.. 2 mules maybe? Hit n miss engine, MAYBE? They were poor.
