Indeed, the same thing happens with us. Going north I always get that great happy feeling that I'm back home again.

And you have to keep an eye out for those trying to smuggle pasties out of the UP too.

While you are at it Marty, why not load up the tractor in the summer and take it there. I don't remember the date but several from around this area do it. Can't you picture one lane of solid tractors crossing the bridge?!

Sept, 8th is the date on the tractor parade this year. A friend has done this for years.

Tried it and the grates made it to squirrelly! We had about a 25 per mile crosswind and when you hit the expansion joint it felt like the rear tire was leaving the ground.

For $150-$400 AUS you can climb to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.

If you are interested there is a PBS special Nova titled Super Bridge. It is a great story of building a large bridge over the Mississippi river at Alton, Illinois.

That really is a neat bridge too. I've crossed it several times.

This reminds me of the bridge on Rt 68 across Kentucky Lake. It was built 80 years ago and is extremely narrow. The first time I crossed it in my RV I was so nervous because I had only a few inches between me and the guard rail, and the center line. Two semis cannot pass each other. They send a scout across and radio the driver they can come across. Chief
