Some of you may remember me saying how I get "most of my wood", well here it is!, but a little "CLOSE" to home... Were blowing about 50mph with gusts to 70+ right now, I just pulled into the driveway to see my next door neighbors maple snapped off like a twig! He had the Lucky Irish wood fairies help it fall dead center in his yard! :picard::jaw: So, I know a needy family who can really use this wood and my neighbor don't want it, (he don't burn) so it'll go to good use. I'm on 10+ cord now, I don't need any more or have the room.

Thanks for the compliment, Really appreciated, but it's only right! And it helps 3 fold actually. My neighbor has no saw or clue how to cut up a tree , I get some exercise,:p and someone who needs wood gets some, It's just what a neighbor does also. :). I'll be taking the rest of the tree down I'm sure over the weekend if it's nice, It'll be a good haul for my buddy who needs it.

Yup! actually my brother has one of those weather stations like Well Seasoned and he said we had a 72mph gust. our base had 64mph and sustained 50 to 55. It's not uncommon to get gusts 80mph+ during a nor-easter. Ask anyone who lives here on the mid-atlantic coast! Our local news reported 63mph at their location and that could vary within a mile. I'm Right on the Delaware bay and "almost" unrestricted northerly wind where I live off the water.
