Not yet David - I almost started building a UHF-only Gray Hoverman antenna, when we need VHF high band antenna to receive WMUR 9 ..

There is a modified design, that uses reflector rods, to receive VHF high band / UHF though.

    * I'm having difficulty sourcing .25 (1/4") solid aluminum rod (or wire) for the reflector/NAROD elements: every source available locally is very expensive.. Would be less $$$ to purchase a pre-built antenna cost-wise.

(The engineering-grade Metric rulers I ordered are here, the wire bending jig is built, and the aluminum tripod base is setup to mount the antenna to for outside testing.. *Too much noise inside the house, for an indoor antenna.)

    * Still have to stop by the scrap/salvage yard when I'm in Keene & inquire there though - will do this tomorrow am.

I was wondering when you were going to catch on to WMUR not being in the correct freq. band just like WMTW and WCBB being odd balls here.

Yep - haven't had any real snows this year - if I remember correctly that 10" is the largest snowfall this season. Thank goodness since with two jobs and only getting about 5 hours of sleep a night as it is, I would not be having a good time.

Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. Son and wifey are home, son is pretty uncomfortable, but that is to be expected.

Gbreda, the surgeon was very good, he was being strangled by the insurance company and he worked around them really well. Was informative and spoke with them before and after the surgery and after some important tests after the surgery. He was the only one who recognized the seriousness of the problem and moved up his surgery. The eye, ear, nose, throat doctors and office he saw first made a serious series of mistakes which my son and his wife will address after he gets back on his feet. And of course the insurance company who seem to have unlimited resources to keep our money.
Bottom line is hopefully he will get back to a normal life after a few weeks ! He is hoping to get a good meal and a few beers in on his birthday in the middle of February. :chef::drool::drunk:

That's encouraging you're getting good signal.

    A few questions:
How's the VHF High-Band reception w/ that antenna?
Is the antenna mounted inside, or outside?
Approx. Height of the antenna above ground level?
Is the antenna internally amplified and/or are you using a signal amplifier on it?
Are you using a 2 or 4 way coax splitter to multiple TVs?

Only after much Beer Therapy. :D

The Sky 60 does fine with both 8 and 10 the Sky 60 is mounted outside on a corner of the house about 15 ft above ground.

No splitters the TVs are on different antennas, my den isn't really a good place for an inside antenna as it is basically in the side of a hill. That TV is used as a 43" computer monitor. It has my I7 and PI3 systems hooked up to it. My upstairs TV is used for a TV or for my Android TV box.

I hope that a beer or two will be allowed by then but it might not be. They can be rough after such surgery.

I gave up on Antenna looong ago.

Had Satellite here since 1993 and never looked back.

Same dish, coax and cables I installed in 93
On the 3rd set of set top boxes though.

Tomorrow I am finally going to get the 1992 GMC SAFARI AWD I bought back at Christmas time.

Weather and such just fouled up getting it home.

Looking forward to getting my project going
