    How are you identifying it as green ash? Bark pattern? :tears:

    The bark and the color of the wood, Green Ash tends to be a little darker then White Ash.

    Makes me think I may be cutting more green ash than white. All mine are dead so I dont gave buds and twigs to use for I.D.

    From what I just found with a bit of a search, it looks like both white and green ash may be common in KY.
    I know my own ash are green because I got them by the thousands as seedlings from the state tree program about 20 years ago.
