I finished shoveling the first 4" of snow off my driveway last night at 10 (after getting home from my night job). I shoveled as there is a noise ordinance so didn't want to get my neighbors all upset over the racket that late at night. Besides, I needed them to not already be p*ssed at me when they heard the snow blower running at 3:30 this morning :startled:. Took care of the other 6" of snow (and the berm all the way to the mailbox). I did NOT snow blow any of my pathways, as I had to get going to work (should be an absolute joy to work with this afternoon :headbang:). The roof had dumped a lot of its load, so I also shoveled about 2'x3' of compressed, wet snow off the 40' of ramp to the back door (actually, I did that first - starting shortly after 3 this morning).

We had slickness was all. Spread some paw safe stuff on the deck and some rock salt in the front yard. No shovel required(thank goodness). ;)

I use to worry about running the snow blower at 4am, that worry ended real quick many years ago. Now, I consider it a wake up call for my neighbors to get their arses out of bed and do something

In all reality, they dont care and the guy across from me drives buses for CJ Trailways, so if anything he beats me at times. I know its time to get up if I hear his snow blower going

He had to stop what he was doing, his wife is now a school teacher. He appears to be doing fine, he still posts here.

    Ahhhhh yesssssssssssss

Got in to see the dentist on Monday afternoon and got the offending little urchin (Tooth) yarded out and in the waste basket.

Only a couple more to go and I will step up and get a new lower made :D
Dentist talked me into keeping 4 teeth for anchors back in 07 when I had the rest yanked and great looking new teeth THAT NEVER HURT made ARRRRRRGH bad jump that was. (Leaving the 4)

Weather turned warmer yesterday and rained like crazy last night.
Have not seen what it looks like outside as yet, but I suspect that most of the snow is gone.
Hopefully we can park the big 4x4 Burb 454 beast and get back to running the Smart car.

Real happy to be running only one stove since yesterday morning.

This extended cold snap (Actually since Christmas) with 2 stoves running mostly 24/7 the past 7-10 days.

That really gobbles up the nut shells.

WE need a shot of decent weather soon to go get another dumpster full of shells and fill up the stock.

Since Christmas we have plowed through about twelve 55 gallon barrels of shells heating the shack.

Supposed to warm up to near 50 F for a day or so, and maybe we can cut back to the little Whit.

Snow gone, tooth ache gone, life is good.

Been snooping for parts and pieces for my "Franken Cat" snow cat project.
Bought the Safari van for its body just after Christmas but yet to get it home due to the weather.

Scared up other parts bits and pieces plus some new things off ebay.

With the weather improving, the plan is to do a ferry move of the van come Saturday.

Life is good  (Relative term)

This is his second tour to that hell hole. Last time he was there, he had a soldier die in his arms with a heart attack Did you every hear the old saying, "don't waste your time trying to teach a pig to sing, it annoys the pig and wastes your time" Now, I'm not comparing the Afghans to pigs, just that our efforts over there are not fruitful because those folks have no interest in change. warlords or religious extremists.

Jesus, that's what you've been waiting for Smokey? I thought you ordered a blower motor?
