Take it to Walmart in a bag and let the checker do their job. :bug: I can hear the loudspeaker now,"Clean up needed at the entrance."

See if you can make a deal. It tends the stove during the day in return for room and board....

I never kill 'em. Wife does though. I have no quams picking them up and relocating. Snakes are pretty easy to corral. A stick behind the head and it's over, just pick it up close to the head so it can't turn enough to bite.

I plan to find a good spot Thurs when it's the warmest.

Here's 2 I relocated from my late grandmothers place which was about 200yds from my house.

We grow our own food here, as much as we can and don't use chemicals. Our first line of defense is the natural predators of destructive pests. We have Snakes, Toads, & Frogs, as well as birds in the garden all doing their thing. We really don't have too much of a problem with pests, so it works for us.

I don't mind snakes, up here all I've ever seen is garter snakes and very infrequently a black racer or milk snake. They can give everyone a little scare upon first contact, but they are very beneficial to the garden and I leave them alone. I don't think I'd want one in my house. The only thing I hate about snakes is that, if you do have to handle them, they usually pee on you (or emit some kind of musk or whatever that stinks).

A vole is a rodent about the size of a field mouse, with a short stubby tail. They can burrow, or leave trails in a yard as they feed on plant roots. Had a bunch of spring bulbs wiped out by them varmints.

Probably a black rat snake. The are not poisonous although you would not want one to bite you. I welcome them in my gardens.

Yes, they feed on roots and crowns of plants, usually below the surface. You will see your plant wilted and then you see that it has no roots etc. I have been fighting them for years, they breed year round and produce lots of babies.

They won't eat daffodils; toxic to them. Therefore, you might could try planting daffs around your other bulbs, such as Asiatic lilies. The daffs would come up in the spring and then you would have the Asiatic lilies later; I have not tried this myself but do put protection around my lily bulbs.

We have this bug/larvae called a Lily Beetle. the beetle looks like an elongated Lady bug. The larvae eat the leaves. I need to spray for them every spring. If it ain't one thing, it's another.

I had a ringneck in my living room couple of years ago, wasn't sure if it crawled out from my wood bin or the cat brought it in, little guy about a foot long.
