... then fill them you must. There's 6, empty 8-foot racks in the middle. After some splitting, moving, and stacking yesterday and again today My "working inventory" continues to shrink I am hoping to get a cord of logs delivered this afternoon. Decent cash price. I hope the logs are decent. If so, I may order up another load I know.. "purchased??". I don't have a woodlot to harvest from so, one does what one does. Still beats needing to order a deliver of fuel oil!!
Man, you had me worried there for a hot minute, Mike. Sounds like you've got things well under control. "Purchased" is what I've been doing, but already cs, so all I've gotta' do is stack. One does, what was one must do. Carry on.
Yeah - I got a new "wood guy". I bought 3 cord from him last year, CS. OK, price. Heclears house lots, so it was a mix of white birch, oak, maple, and a decent amount of locust. Figured I'd save myself some $$'s, and buy log-length, and pay cash. We'll see! Pictures to follow delivery.
The stacks look so good all full over the summer, I think next winter I'll just burn the furniture so I don't have to look at the empty spots in the stacks this time of year.....
That's a terribly good way to get wood. We had a huge snow storm in early October here once that brought down thousands of trees. People were paying huge money to have them cleaned up. Was a few years before I started burning so didn't get any. Amazing how a storm like that can totally change the landscape of whole cities.
What area is the log length guy out of? $125 is a pretty decent price, wonder if he ventures out my way?
He's just north of where the borders of MA/RI/CT come together. SE MA could be a haul for him. Sent from my XT1030 using Tapatalk
Well... After some delays(Weather, Mother Nature) I just took delivery of a cord of logs. X27 in pics for perspective. Looks to be a mix of red and white oak, with some black birch. I had just finished CSS'ing what I had. That's keep me busy for a week or three. If the weather cooperates, I'll order up another load!
