Like many organizations, when it makes sense the upper echelon resists.

Ultimately there is nothing common about sense.

Very lazy day today. Got in a couple of naps, some reading and a grocery run. Started to clean out the P43, got all the ash dusted to the ash pan and looked down there and said "nah, it's good" :emb:. Ran the dishwasher, fed the cats. Got football on but not really watching. Bummed that tomorrow is Monday.

I rarely get mail anyway, so it doesn't matter to me. I don't get any of those named-after-people days off from either of my jobs.

Hmm, forgot you were waiting for stuff to be delivered. The waiting game continues (and they have more time to think of ways to confound the delivery further).

Tough getting up this morning but once again, its time to make the doughnuts. Oh, and tomorrow night rain is now forecast as sn*w :(

Last Tuesday evening we got 12 inches ++ of snow all in one go round.
Then the temps plunged into the COLD ZONE (FOR US)

Been upper 20's F in the daytime and low to mid teens at night.

    It's 16 F here.

Rain and much warmer is on the way by tomorrow.

With all the low level snow around here (Valley floor to 2000 feet) is gonna be heading down the creek.

Talk of flooding is making headlines.

We been running both Whits 24/7 with only a quicky time out to clean them.

We had a fairly decent day Friday and I shut the Big guy down and did a good cleaning.

Yesterday morning even with both Whits chugging along the house was about 66 F indoors, soooooooooooo kicked on the big Quad 1000 and gave things a boost.

At temps in the teens things get much tougher to deal with.

Back in 2011 we had a dry cold spell with 2 nights that hit 0 F
    Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Just not set up for that stuff here in NW Oregon.

We can deal with it, but with great aggravation and much grumbling and hissing.

Last night the Skid steer would not start even using the glow plugs, and then after jumping it I discover it had a flat tire... ARRRRRGH

Tube stem had sucked inside the wheel, so had to rip the tire/wheel off and get it loaded up in the Burb so it can go to the tire shop today.

Add to this a nasty tooth ache and I am not fit to be around, not even.

Dosed up on Tylenol and crawled in the rack last night.

    Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.

Gotta ring the dentist this morning and see if he can yank this nasty little devil out ASAP.

And a good time was had by all :hair:

My honey is going through the same thing since last Tuesday. She has been on antibiotics that didnt help much and then not any help at all by Saturday. Dentist changed meds and added a minor pain killer so she wasnt taking so much NSAID.

Glad to say that the tooth has quieted down to manageable and feeling better, so the new antibiotic has kicked in....'till the root canal.

There are plenty of geeks out there, Grizzly Adam, and Snowy Rivers fall in that category. I normally run openSuse (main box but now have Mint and openElec, and openWRT distros running, not to mention several old mainframe systems).
