I recently purchased the new Husqvarna combi can and I used it for the first time today.

I filled it this morning and after 5 refuels and oils on several saws I had not spilled a drop. I think it's great, it's solid and works well.

The only problem I had was a question from a bystander about using a Husqvarna can to fill my Stihl saws.
Husqvarna also make a 15 litre gas can for mowers and lawn tractors that has a larger spout and 3 handles.

I imagine you have to put "loose" oil in the combi can. How cool would it be if you could just drop a new quart bottle in, screw on the top and away you go. (Which magically opens the foil cap)

I use the No-Spill cans - best of the newer cans I've tried - most others are complete junk. They are pricey - I paid about $32 at TSC. I had a gift certificate and bought another 4 to have 6 total. I like to have 30 or so gallons on hand in case of a major storm, etc. which would require extended generator use. After the ice storm in the northeast back in '08, I am much more prepared for emergencies than in the past. Also nice to never run out of gas for any project I'm doing. One can did have a threading problem at the cap - had to return it. But, otherwise I think they are a great option and they are only about $12 more than the junk cans at most stores here. I can't justify spending much more on a high end jerry can, etc. Cheers!

If you want easy to use 5 gallon cans get the VP jugs. I bought some fuel a while back for the wife to have for extra before a storm was predicted. The no spill 5 gallon sucked to empty compared to the VP

Yeah. I remember that ice storm. Brought down "Godzilla class" high tension lines.

I picked up 2 of the EZ Pour kits. Looks like they'll do the job.

I use the race cans like Blazing posted for my 5 gallon size cans. They are wonderful in every way. I use a gocart racing jug to fill my saws. It is the same basic shape, but only hold a little over a gallon of fuel. It's us much easier to fill small equipment like saws and weed wackers from the gocart jug.
Like most people I can not stand the new EPA gas cans and have vowed to never buy another one.

The new cans drove me crazy.... Found a few of the older Eagle cans at garage sales and stocked up so I never will need to buy any of the new ones again.

Back in the 80's when I got my chainsaw, I also bought a metal gas can with a flexible rubber spout. Loved the thing until the spout failed where it is coming out of the metal screw on cap. no repair I gave it has lasted long and I just can't find another! Shouldn't be that hard, right??
I keep checking yard sales though!

Maybe I'll have to check out Jills jugs......hhmmmmmm!

I have bought a replacement spout for one of my Eagle cans that looks a lot like yours. It worked fine.
Search Eagle gas spout replacement. There's a couple sizes.

Funny this thread popped up recently. I tried to put some diesel into my salamander heater today with a EPA can, the only one I do not have the right nozzle on. Spilled fuel everywhere, couldn't get it open, took 10 minutes to empty. I was beyond mad, almost to the point of setting the can on fire. Diesel on the garage floor, the heater, on me. You can tell the EPA dorks do not hoard or get away from their desk. Sorry, still angry:mad:

    I don't blame ya.
Sounds like you need to order up an EZ pour spout for that can:)
I still have an old kerosene can in good shape

I've been handling Jill's Jugs for a few years....I love 'em

Easily the best investment in lawn/garden equipment. There really is no spill, I've got a 5g and a 1.25g have worked flawlessly for over two years.

I cast another vote for the No-Spill. I used one of Mweba's (from AS) and immediately went out to buy my own. After a year or two I lost the large o-ring from the cap (no idea how it happened) so I tossed it thinking something significant had failed, bought another and found the o-ring in the cap and realized the error of my ways. I have two of the 2-1/2 gallon in rotation and a new one tucked away for safe keeping.

First thing I did with both of mine is, break off that locking tab thing on the cap, PITA, besides that no problem, they work great
