It was close to 16 below here this morning and it has been a chilly winter, however not as cold as it could be. I'm old and I remember it being plenty cold.

Ya. They say crippling. It will cripple the south because they are not use to it. 3/4" of ice sucks anywhere, but down there it will hurt them bad. And they are just getting over the last one.

Have you ever noticed how much the media loves to hype stuff up though? I heard catastrophic, crippling, etc. etc. Common. Give me a break. It's f*$^ing winter. They just want more ratings=advertising=money.

I'd say the proof that it's colder (if anyone needs it) is Lake Superior… it's about to freeze entirely for the first time in 2 decades.

Yep, the GW folks are having a bad winter aren't they? Lake Superior frozen over, ships full of GW "scientists" stuck in the ice in Antarctica. Very cold winter storms bombarding the lower US states… but, but… it's warmer…

Their report on Shackleton's (spelling?) route in today's "lack of ice" is gonna take some tweaking, you know, might have to leave a few things out… Did the Russian crew ever get the ship out of there after the "scientists"/"tourists" got off? Maybe Mr Turney could sell some of his eco stocks to help pay the rescue tab?

The Russian ship made it out as soon as the ice pack moved. In fact it did better than the ship of fools did, they had to complete the resupply mission that the Australian ice breaker was hauled away from. The poor British journalist had to really wait for their next milk shake.

As long as no ship crew members were hurt, and got triple pay… well, I guess it was OK then… hope there was plenty of Vodka on board… :drunk:

Well, if they didn't run out, I guess that was their own fault.

    LOL.

56 rolls still in the plastic wrapping.

Several rolls in each of the three bathrooms.

The house has three bathrooms, my den has one of them. It is setup to be a full bath and laundry, but there is no tub or shower at present. My den is what might be called the third bedroom and has a walk in closet as well.

Currently it is my den and has the stove in it. Like all recent builds every outlet in it is either on a GFCI or AFCI.

Had just moved to Cheektowaga NY in late summer 2006. Nice "welcome to WNY" moment it was. No power for a week. Ugh.
