Send it to Northern NY, we need more snow for the snowmobile trails.

Were under a winter storm watch. They calling for 5 plus inches. We just got over a nasty ice storm. Here is a picture of what the whole town looked like after the ice storm!

Brokenwing. Hope you folks recover there quickly and there is not too much damage. We know what they can be like here. We have been getting more of them, hope it is not a sign of what is to come in the future.

Well, this is the latest snowfall predictions. This the US model.....not as accurate as the European models:

While I really like the snow and enjoy ribbin everyone on here who hates winter, I've had my share of having to be someplace during bad snow storms, along with shoveling, plowing, blowing and moving all that "wonderful snow". That part is definitely not cool. But, it just seems to make that fire in the wood stove so much more important… and nicer to watch… :fire: If ya gotta drive on the snow/ice, go slow…

WeatherBug just started chirping on the "puter". So far just a "storm watch", but still calling for 6-10" in my area. My back is already complaining. :(

I just got an alert on my phone for 8-12.....better than ice I guess. Atlanta, Georgia is supposed to get 3/4 of an inch of ice.....not good.

3/4" of ice will end alanta for sure and maybe 1" plus i will take our 50+ inches of lake effect anyday than have to deal with that. We had the oct storm a couple years ago and what a dam mess it made...

That's why Frosty the Snowman always has a smile on his face… the neighbors bought a snowblower!

Not sure… it's an '09 Cub Cadet with the 250cc Chinese B&S engine (that ticked me off when I found out!). My buddy brought it into my shop late last winter to replace the belt he burned up. Wouldn't start after he was done… he flooded the heck out of it and I think the gas washed the oil off the cylinder walls.

Took it to the dealer and he wants to sell me a new $1100.00 engine... yeah right. I oiled up the cylinders but I've been lazy and haven't spent any time working on it.

Wow… NBC just said the storm will be a potentially crippling event… I'm thinking that's not good. Do safe stuff everyone… :campfire:

I think they were talking about the south. They had 3 hours of precip in Atlanta during the last storm and everyone left their cars on the highway and walked home. This time they going to get 18 hours of precip with up to 3/4 inch of ice east of Atlanta.

I've come to the conclusion it's been a cold winter. I had -2 when I went to work this morning and it didn't feel all that cold out. Supposed to be -10 tonight.

Ice just creates misery in all directions. Let's hope more folks down that way plan ahead as much as possible.
