Pfft, that is one handed driving - other hand on the shifter (yes, the actual gear shifter, no, that isn't an euphemism :faint:)

After my jaunt on the treadmill this morning I'm down to 221.5 so that's a loss of 10 pounds from when I started, if I can lose another 8-10 pounds by the end of this month things will be "GOODER". I did up both workouts on the treadmill to 30 minutes.

The driveway is sanded but the winds were strong enough (tops of the trees were swaying) I decided to wait until maybe the wind calms down before I do anything in the woods.

I was talking with a neighbor yesterday and he asks me how much firewood I have gathered. I tell him that I have plenty. He then tells me he is glad that he isn't cutting firewood anymore. I couldn't believe it and I tell him so. He tells me that cutting firewood is too much work and he's not doing it anymore. I still couldn't believe what I was hearing. He then tells me that really he kinda made a mistake. He had tree leaning kind of hard in the backyard. He thought he could bring it down past the corner of his house. It didn't go well and he took out his stone chimney. He said it didn't hurt his roof significantly but he doesn't need any more firewood until he gets something done with the chimney. It was much funnier to hear him tell it. I am not sure when it happened, but at least he can laugh about it now.

    Hey guys!

Taking off a bit early today. My good friend just got his divorce finalized. Bad situation he was in and he goes from ( understandably) glad to sad in the span of a couple sentences, so I'm taking him out to a bar tonight for some "beer therapy" and to lend him my ear.

    Wish me luck.

Our really cold clear weather is coming to an end. Probably have rain all weekend. Made a trip down island for shopping and medical appt. Fortunately great weather the whole time. Full moon at night was spectacular.

I've only taken "the slide" once but it was because the ladder was an in-between size for a piece of siding under a window and the ladder feet were on the deck(wet from rain).

To properly set your angle put your feet at the bottom of each rail and your hands should wrap around a rung while standing vertically - unless you have some strange body disproportions that should set you close to 30deg:D

Thanks for the tip...I really don't need to be crashing and burning again at my age and I was just thinking of getting the ladder out again when this came up...

Kinda where the whole slogan "Maine.... the way life should be" is misleading
