Similar but different situation here on moving the mailbox to the actual street that we are on and not around the f'ing block. This was where the Left Turn comment came in to play. In the end the mail box was put where we wanted it and we no longer have to drive around the block to get our mail. But this didnt happen until we got a new Postmaster who agreed what we had to do was stupid.

And they wonder why USPS is an endangered species

Here is what their tracker says for the motor:

We attempted to deliver your item at 9:18 am on January 13, 2017 in STANDISH, ME 04084 but could not complete the delivery because the employee did not have access to the delivery location. Your item will go out for delivery on the next business day.

Well I ain't going to stand out there in the cold tomorrow waiting. I am going to make a call however. I might make some signs and stick them in a snow bank.

 

As long as they don't say 'Angry Bear Lives Here' / 'I devour Postal Workers', I think you'll be O.K.

OK nother dumb post office/gov think,few years ago we redid our mailbox mounting board,one neighbor cut some nice 3" x 12" lumber,we set posts,SO we called them,and asked if they wanted us to remount all(25-29) mailboxes in numerical order,as they had been put up over the years,anywhichway,as people bought land then got assigned a number.They(post office) said NO put them in the mixed up order,as that is how it is in their system?????LOL

 

Yup, it is. Routes are laid out to avoid as many left turns as possible.
