Slowly cooling down. 32 or so, burning Pine and Ash. Cleaned the boiler out earlier tonight. More Ashes for the garden. Or the ice rink drive way down to the barn!

image.jpg Still brisk in Saskatchewan. Poplar n pine in the reactor. With a little luck I should be able to fit these 4 pieces in for overnight.

    52ºF here at 1AM. Outside.
    No fire to check.
It's warm enough I could go out and look but my peach trees must be oozing sap.

Thats pretty chilly saskwoodburner I think Im about -25c right now and getting ready to do a reload of....... drum roll please........ larch! Im heading to fairmont hot springs tomorrow about noon for the weekend so the stove will go cold after a morning load, the furnace will be set for 14c and the water will be turned off and the plants will huddle in the center of the house until we return.
Edit: Look it up gang. Its a real nice place to spend some time. I can see some nice big ol doug fir trees while I sit in the therapeutic springs.

Got warmer overnight, despite reports saying temps would dip. I think we hit 50° at some point, house was 75° to hot for sleeping. Opened a window, closed it when it started pouring outside. Got up this morning, dusting of snow and chilly. Loaded the oakleaf because temps will plummet, winds chill advisory for tonight, temps headed to - 25 WC.

45 here this AM, no fire. Bumped on the oil fired forced hot air for ten minutes and shut it off, that's all we needed. Cold is coming back tonight, we've had a few days of record warmth here.

We had 28 this morning with the temps trending down, I'm not sure what's in the Liberty but we have heat.

They say we'll get down to -5 tonight so I'll get the P.S. ready too.

Tossed in a mix of soft maple, ash and locust.
Mid 20's to 30-ish with threats of ice/sleet/rain.
    Be safe out there.

Current temp 12° with winds picking up, giving us a WC of 5°, headed down to - 5°. The wind is expected to build overnight with WC temps nearing - 25°F. I just loaded the WS with a bunch of ash and hard maple.

Looking at -17 C (0? F) right now. A bit more with the wind. Feels quite pleasant after the obnoxious chill that rolled through the area. Poplar and pine doing it's thing.

23 deg here now, lit the fire earlier with Beech, & Maple, Oak for the overnight fill. The thaw of the past few days felt good to be warm and get a few outdoor chores done with no coat and gloves on, but I was getting sick of the mud. Back to reality again.
