My son got up at 4 Am to go to work in Ellsworth, a three hour drive. He an another man are putting the exterior finish to a new Dollar Tree Store. We had been having a driving wind and heavy downpours all night. Just before they arrived at the worksite a gust if wind came and took the staging and the tenting. It is all a tangled mess now. Glad they were not on it when nature decided to make it fly. Now they are out of work for a couple days while the staging and plastic tending is replaced.

I noticed that yesterday morning. Any driveway or parking lot that wasnt cleaned down to pavement was a skating rink.

Hopefully it melted for you during the day. This morning there are many school delays due to re freezing.

Meh, never been a whiskey, bourbon, gin drinker. Now in the old days, give me a good dark rum (Meyers was my favorite) and we have a winner :drunk:

Only hit one slick spot this morning on the way in. Good thing since I decided to drive the poor neglected car that has barely legal tires on it instead of the Explorer.

Got a lot of sun in the afternoon, So it was mostly slush by the time I got home. Some of the thicker spots got a quick coat of Calcium and a bit of sand. Never got cold enough to freeze last night so those spots are slush now. Hopefully some more sun will clear the rest up. Most of the sn*w is also gone except for the sn*wbanks. If those melt and puddle, They could freeze again? Hopefully they are all gone by the weekend(before it gets cold again!).

I'll stop and get some more sand later today JIC.

This mild weather we are getting is outstanding. 52 degrees here now and according to the long range forecast, it's here to stay for a while. We will get a brief temp drop this weekend, but that's it.
