12 ounces of sugar water and caffeine going down. Don't know what I'm going to do today. I thought I had found the tractor that I wanted. Turns out, looks like I was wrong. Ugh! :picard:

The lift is moveable (I guess, hence the name)?! Do you not need to reinforce the concrete in that case? Pretty slick.

Yes ,, movable .Concrete is 8" with fiber. it aint going nowhere. Reason I bought a mobile lift is we service and fix minor stuff on skidders, triaxles, dozers and loaders in that bay.I didn't want a permanent post lift in the way.
Theres another bay next to that for short term repair projects and another building for long term repair projects. Havent had to use long term building for quite a few year due to farming my major stuff out. I got hooked up with a couple young diesel mechs a couple years ago with a lot of drive .
They treat me right on price if I tell them it isn't anything I need fixed overnite or next week. Its worked out good.

Just calming down a little from last night and this mornings 65 mph winds kind of breezy and hanging around 35-40F partly sunny they are calling to warm up some more and an inch or better of rain tonight through tommorrow! Why won't it just stay winter!:hair:

Well, that was interesting............Heard a huge BANG early this morning, then the power blinked off and stayed off.
Not too unusual, especially with the heavy winds we had last night and early today.
Little while later, the dogs were growling because there were voices out in the driveway. Got up and looked out to see a power co-op truck boom bucket up in the air.
I thought maybe our transformer popped, so I went back to bed.....they got this.
So, when I got up this morning, I peeked out the window again to see one of the Spruce trees in the turn around had broken off about 15' up, and fallen on the power line.
They cleared the line, and left the tree top across the other side of the drive. More farwood.
Ok, I can't get the laptop to fully access the iPhone7, so I'll have to look for a way to get to the pics I took.
    Anyway, good times, good times.

It's actually kinda in the yard.....only about 50-60' from the house.
We have a horseshoe drive, and it's on the side opposite the house. Anyway, very easy to get to, but a lot of limbing needs to be done. One of my least favorite things about these trees, but it dries quick and burns well.

Took pics with the old phone..............
Of course, Casper had to investigate as well. You might be able to see the power line right above the very top that's on the ground

Not sure what our winds were, but when they make the walls creak and moan, it's not gooder.
I should take a walk out back to see if I have any other future firewood on the ground.:thumbs:

We had 55 mph winds yesterday evening, so you guys east of me may have a spare ash branch of mine in your yard.

We had freezing rain and ice after I got home yesterday from my drive home, and today it was freezing rain and ice during my drive home.

I left 15 minutes early today to miss the ice and freezing rain. I'm glad I left when I did as the last 2 miles of my commute home were treacherous. Great new tires, Audi's awesome Quattro AWD, and me being smart got me home safe.

Up north in the northwoods of Wisconsin, there's about 9-12" of fresh snow.

I'll have to get to snowmobiling as the trails had a good base for new years, they just needed 3-4" of fresh snow to be great. 3x that amount is good too. They officially have more snow on the ground than in all of last winter.

I'm gonna' have flashbacks for a week now.
Never forget a house where the opening wasn't too bad......just that once you got in, things started getting closer together, fast. A lot of the work needed to be done more than 1/2 way back from the opening, and there were pipes and wires hanging all over. The floor joists were....RIGHT THERE, in front of my face.
I've never been a pretzel, so that was fun and it's also when I discovered claustrophobia.
    Couldn't get done fast enough.
I'm glad you're done with that one.

Debating on tomorrow being "day 3" of work-from-home. I'm betting more avalanche control work on I-70 tonight. Yesterday they blew a 150yrd.x 10' deep slide right across my commute. Not certain when they had it cleaned up. We're at 150% of normal snow pack for this time of year.
Heck, had a whiteout that dropped 3" in 40 minutes about 2 hours ago.
