Yup, getting warm in the den again. Not low 60's anymore. I should have known that my suicide cord was telling it all straight.

going on 4 hours of sleep. decided to catch an earlier flight out of Aspen yesterday because of weather (it was raining, unbelievable in Aspen in January!). re-booked without a $75 fee, amazing each since the airline had not issued a formal weather delay. went to the airport. 2 hour delay...winds in Denver and low visibility in Aspen for liftoff. our aircraft was there (good!) got to Denver, lunch, get in line. no pilots because they are over hours because the plane is delayed. wait for another flight crew. new guys pre-flight the aircraft....fails, they walk off. maintenance issue. wait some more. change from gate B16 to B39, ok. get to B39 wait for incoming aircraft. same flight crew as before. board. captain says that someone was sick on the previous flight and maintenance has to change the seat cushions and the lap belts in row XX, even though no one is in that row. wait while maintenance does their thing.... an 8:45PM arrival in Bradley is now 12:45AM. get to my office where we left my wife's car.... it won't start after 10 days in 10 degree weather. get ride home. home at nearly 2AM, get the pellet stove running to warm the house from 60 to 70. 14 inches of snow in Aspen today, so we would not have gotten out.

Well, had to go to the mailbox for a package of tarp straps,so,might as well get gas for the plow truck, drove to town, got fuel, was eyeballing blue smoothies, kid working there tells me--2 bucks cheaper at shopko,so off to shopko! Then ,went to thrift store, got some decent jeans and a polyester blanket I can make into something,or throw in camper for those cool summer evenings, for 4 dollars!Went to groc store, got some carrots, onion celery, peppers for a stew, got a discount from the produce mgr(a friend),felt so good, went up the street and bought a bottle of makers mark.So if this storm turns out bad,I really dont care!!:D:stirpot::cheers:

Toured the maker mark distillery in Ky this past March. Was pretty cool, kinda ruined it at the end of the tour when they disclosed its Japanese owned.

a little birdie told me that the WOW (Blazers) plant has been acquired by Dana Corp. and will be bulk shipping to the Upton facility. under what brand name for packaging is yet to be determined (i'd like to see the Blazer name continued). i presume it's not the plant that was under scrutiny for dust explosion problems and upgrades. regardless, it will be good to see more doug fir in this market
