I wish i was there helping you! There is over 5 feet of snow where i cut all of my fall wood. I like the 461 seems like a great saw, i might get one this spring.

Woodsnwoods Were any of the trees you took down killed by the grape vines growing up the trees? Grape vines in my woods will kill trees if allowed to grow too long.

Erik, of the five trees, two were near dead. These vines are a pain. They actually held up the last two trees in the picture below. The maple was still healthy, but the beech was dying for sure . Shut down for the day due to wind and hail. Plan for tomorrow is to buck up the rest of these two trees, drop two more larger beech and start bringing the blocks out to the splitting area. The blocks in the bucket will stay whole as they fit in my stove as they are. Good day! IMG_4187.JPG IMG_4188.JPG IMG_4189.JPG

No beech around here, where I'm at. Guess, I'm just stuck with my oak

Strange as we have lots of vines like that but I've never noticed one causing a tree to die.

I cut the ash first as it grew very crooked and was in the path of the two beeches.
