Oops forgot to put

Those both sound like nice stoves, expecially if you got a good deal.

Both of them work good? Nice find.

Haven't seen much said about the 45. Maybe you can give us a review once you get it running? The 1200 is a nice heater. No hi/lo option is the only downside imho.

PC-45 shares chassis with P61. P43 has same chassis as P38.

Do you plan on burning pellets or something else like corn, cherry pits, mix of the above? I only use pellets in mine with large hole pellet pot and pellet end gate so ash can fall off edge of pot. Currently using small hole exhaust cover to hold in more heat, but supposed to use large hole cover per instructions. Works quite well i must say. Igniter and air pump are inoperative so I use in Room mode with manual setting so it doesn't shut off.

The plan is to just burn pellets, mine has the large hole pot in it now I'm not sure what you mean by exhaust cover ?
I don't have a room probe so I'm running on stove temp. I take it I'd be happier in room temp mode ?

Room mode is a setting on the control board. In addition to the differen pots, there is a restrictor to go into the exhaust blower, unless, possibly yours is really old and different?Never seen one out here, look at the pictures in the manual and see if the pot parts look the same.

I "think" you have to have a temp probe to run in room mode ????
If not something is wrong with mine , it won't run in room settings only stove

yep temp probe, should be a connector on back of stove takes 1/4" spade connectors, some harmans will not run in room temp mode without it.
