I'll be picking up around 25 bags of pellets tomorrow in the belle province(Québec) . My choices are LG Satisfaction, LG's regular, Eagle Valley's(short supply), Ecotech with 10% coupon or at $1.00 more a bag LG Maximum and Logistic's hwd. I've seen the Cubex super premium smaller bag too but even more costly, forgot the name. I was hoping to find Lacrete's but no luck. The bags are a $1.00 cheaper than in Ontario to begin with
so it's a win-win for me. I will be returning my son back to school so it's my opportunity to go pellet shopping. February will be another chance to do the same but twice.

Eagle Valley, the same folks that (still?) source pellets for CleanFire Pacific, would be my 1st choice, followed by regular LG Granules (or 'Satisfaction' brand if you can find it in the box store cheaper) for the softwoods, lots of folks I know also burn Cubex, we tried them & liked the heat here,

but I wouldn't pay extra $$$ for any (smaller) and/or 'premium' bag.. 'Cause that 50F can pretty much roast anything, including the small stove we have here.

Safe travels on the trip - will be doing the same here in a week or so.

Eagle Valley would be my choice too but not easily available, sold out most places. Might be able to get 6 bags if I'm lucky. Ecotech at 10% of is the cheapest and the coupon is good for only 30 days so no good on the Feb. trip! Decision is somewhat made with the coupon, I hope Eagle Valley becomes available at the time. Thanks for the safe travels gesture:thumbs:

We like the the LG /Satisfaction too.

What are the Ecotechs? Never heard of those before, just wondering if we know them be a different name here?

Pretty sure I've heard of granulco before, but don't recall ever seeing them for sale. There are a couple local places that sell PWI / Logik-E year after year, assume they must do pretty well. On paper, the specs look good - .3% ash - have never tried them here, though.

Wouldn't it be considered sacrilegious to buy a hardwood pellet in Canada? :D

The Granulco name sounded familiar to me so I did some research. Turns out the local farm supply store where I buy my propane sells them. I've never tried them because their prices are to high.

A little info on the Lauzon Force pellets.
Supreme premium and a sibling of Cubex.

I better do a cleaning of the furnace first, within the week. I plan of picking up some more within a month so I want to know too!
This time it wasn't a beer run and the princess was with me, pellets got the approval:thumbs:
Now next trip will be beer & pellets so I got to live the image of a sloppy pig:D

Interesting bag shapes for those Force pellets. Are they still 40#s?
