    I have no problem with the pipe temps, if the fire looks reasonable, they are in the good range. Even with the STT cooking, the pipe stays within the normal range per the Condar.

    I could run my stove without thermometers, but I know what's going on and can run it more efficient and safe with them.
    Especially when the alarm goes off in the pipe is 900:hair:

    Well, we are talking about burnng wood. It is caveman stuff. But the information is nice to have, and does help make it more efficient.

    You realize how strange this thread is? Grown men posting photos of wood stuffed in a firebox, and it is at 17 pages! Do any of you make sure the missus is not around when you actually take the photo?

    Me =:ithappened:+ :whistle:, she = :picard:+:loco: :crazy:

    Carry on gentlemen! :popcorn::popcorn:

    Yep. My wife thinks that this is hilarious. She said she wanted to take a pic of me taking a picture of the packed stove.

    Lol

    Yeah, it happens.
    If you let the fire burn down to a handful of coals, then you can pack the stove so much easier.

    For sure it's strange! Frequenting a web site deticated to burning and cutting wood is equally strange!(to "normal" folks) "Look at this stack of oak". IMO a stack of wood in a stove isn't much different from one stacked outside. :D

    It's more a culmination of time and effort finally being rendered into pure light energy and radiation!!!!
