Ahh another Bourborn drinker I see excellent, Four Roses one of my favorites but prefer the Small batch over the single barrel .

Seeing that you are a Bourbon drinker it would only take a single cube to release the flavor, try it i never believed it myself and drink it both ways but prefer to taste each bourbon at its finest just a cube is all it takes . Give the Bourbon Mash recipe a try if you have not ever tried it, surprisingly refreshing and delicious but dangerous as well .
    Glad to meet ya TBONE

In my youth, Four Roses used to be a rot-gut whiskey, like Mad Dog 20-20. Even though today's Four Roses is totally different, I can't bring myself to buy it. Too many memories, at least stuff that I can remember from back then. If Boone's Farm comes out with an elegant Apple wine, I'm not buying that, either.

Haa i hear you PF as I had the same reservations about Jim Beam was my rot gut so when they released 12 year I was reluctant to give it a go, glad I did as it is extremely enjoyable. Four Roses has some really good Bourbon out there , you might want to give it a shot . Too funny MD 20-20 Boone's Farm and how about TJ Swan !
Must be similar age as I so remember those days with the exact same crap ......

I've yet to try the small batch but will do so when I get the chance. As of right now my fav is Markers Mark 46. That is MY go to. I need to restock as that's why Four Roses got the nod last night. I'll give the ice a shot and I did write down the mash recipe as it does sound good. I had Woodford Reserve double oak the other day and found that to be quite tasty. It was actually my father in law that got me started on bourbon a few years ago so I'm still a amateur connoisseur.

I'm a tea guy, too. I stay away from Lipton as I already have enough hair on my chest.

When in Naw'lins you need to visit the Bourbon House... decent food and maybe a hundred bourbons priced from $4.00 to maybe a thousand per drink!

Just looked at their website... no big dollar drinks listed but the high end drinks they offered on the menu would force me to walk home if I bought one.... I'd have to sell the car I drove to get there.

There is Pappy Van Winkle that brings some serious money revered to be the worlds best Bourbon, some bottles go for up to $2500-$2700, do not think I will ever try any of those but have had some very good Wellers 20 year old Made by the same distillery Buffalo Trace Distillery . Here is a link to some if anyone out there has some very deep pockets
Pappy Van Winkle's Family Reserve 20 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey

Buffalo Trace is one of the best bourbon bargains out there. Found a bottle of young Pappy's tucked in the corner of a small liquor store that was awesome and I've enjoyed Weller's from time to time.

He's a man of his word... gotta say the last quarter was pretty brutal for Giants fans. Most of my crowd really expected a different outcome.
