Are you chopping by hand? If so that is impressive. I have a splitter and sometimes can not get theough a whole tree in one session.

I have a hydraulic splitter. And by processed, I should have said cut into log lenghts or 16" rounds. Firewood rounds still need to be split and stacked.

I like looking a photos of tractors being used in the firewood process. Looks like you have a nice piece of forest to.

That is a pretty good stack of rounds. Lots of future BTU's.

Thanks man. I'm a desk jockey all week, so it feels good to get out and work. Actually, I was stripped down to just a long sleeve tee shirt on top today and chainsaw pants on the bottom. I started out with more clothes but was sweating pretty fast, especially when the sun was shining. Later in the afternoon got nasty when the clouds moved in and the wind picked up.

It rained Sat., so I only had Sunday to work. I got two good-sized trees cut into saw logs and rounds. Now that the wife is seeing how fast the rounds are building up, she asked if I would show her how to operate the splitter.:thumbs::thumbs: That help would be awesome. She's very good at helping when she can, but, she has her own stuff, and all the animals to take care of usually, so I never expect (but always appreciate) help with the firewood duties.

    Saw logs?
