Uncover the dang directions so I can tell what they say and I'll try. Can't be much tougher than attaching the thermostat on the P43 in line with the probe.

I hope that helps. It's pretty straightforward, but then again, I don't see what you are working with.

That would be a superb video if they would zoom in and give a little more attention to how the cut wires are positioned. Instead, they spend more time telling you how to get the two halves to screw back together. However, it does give a fairly good visual so hopefully it helps WW out!

Only thing to remember in installing the switch, do not cut both wires going to the lamp. Just one of them and then connect that wire to each side of the switch.

No to Sergi's. That is just once and a while. I have been "hitting" just about everything a little more than usual though. Time to stop that.

Didn't want to but I had to get the police involved on tree contractor who ripped us off. He was a referral from family members who used him in the past. He used that to talk us into paying him up front. We never saw him again it's been over 2 mths. I should have smelled a rat due to his price. It's one of our rental properties so at least we can right the 1500 off @ tax time. I learned a lesson again I was being greedy and lock him in on the price. My closest bid was 5000. Here's a few pics of the tree. Our rental is the one on the left.

Thanks Gasifier we are still open to letting him work it off on another property that needs some tree work that I planned on doing myself as it's on a empty lot. I really don't want to hurt the guy he's obviously having problems already. Rumors are drugs don't know though.

Small claims court is your friend here. Does take a bit of paperwork and time, but should easily get a judgement against him and a repayment schedule set up. If he doesn't pay as scheduled then back to court and eventually he gets to pay the courts and they pay you.

Of course if he has no money, getting payments may be difficult, but allowing him to do the work as originally planned, or other comparable work may be something the courts will allow. Good luck!

Glad you got that figured out!

Even after the directions and the video I'm still fuzzy on how those two cut ends work. I overthink things at times, so it pretty much paralyzes me until I just force myself to start and hope things get more clear or at least I stumble upon the answer :emb:

Yeah I figured that my first step would be to report to police. Pretty small town here alot of times the police will try and remedy the problem before it has to go to the next level. Unfortunately I think he knows they want to talk to him so he is being evasive. I'm trying to give this guy a chance because crimes against the elderly here in Florida bypass civil and go straight to circuit Court and they really frown on that here these days.

Oh boy. Seattle again getting away with bad calls that benefit them at home. That's happened so many times, it's almost unbelievable. The NFL has to switch refs in playoffs so there can't be bought off refs.

Edit:. It doesn't look like those bad calls would have mattered now. Unless Detroit can get 2 TDs.

    Rant off.

Same here! It took Horkn 's video and actually laying it out real time to see the cut wires attach into the light, but the switch goes wherever needed, in my case (me and housekeeper are vertically challenged) about 5' up in a brand new slice and cut.

I can't get moving without my coffee in the morning. I have a cup even before breakfast just so I can get moving to make breakfast. Wife bought me a Ninja Coffee Bar for my birthday. Really makes a good cup, or pot or ice coffee with little effort. So it looks like I'll be putting the Keurig in the closet while I entertain myself with this new toy.
