The Maxx Everstart is the best deal going. Cheaper than most others, and top rated. Made by Exide.

More wine for the Boss is always a good thing. ;)

    .

Thanks much Pete - appreciate that info.

The other choice was an AutoCraft Gold battery from Advance Auto Parts, I've had good luck w/ their brand also. ( Coupon code SAVINGS gets you 30% off online orders / pickup in store, in case anyone's interested. )

Ok - 3 weeks of holiday trash treasures loaded up, off to the town 'Recycling Center' / onward & forward to WallyWorld.. Battery & Wine. :D

Have a fun day all !

I have used that battery from wally that imacman mentioned. No issues, probably lasted 5/6 years.

You like that do you IHP? I will go through hand stands and back contortions to get it installed. In other words it sucks to work inside my stove's shell.

Any idea how that compares to Sam's club Duracell? Our Augusta Walmart store does not a have a tire/battery dept, but the one in Waterville does. Our sam's club has one but they sell Duracell.

There isn't a small section of batteries by the engine oil? My local Wal-Mart doesn't have a tire center, but carries the batteries.

Oh they sell batteries, I would rather go to a place who does the service. If there is an issue, they test it and know what they are talking about.

Larry, the Wally World Maxx Everstart was the top rated by Consumers Rep.
At $95, it was the best battery at that price. You can pay more, but the increase in quality isn't much, unless you go to an AGM.....pretty $$$.

I put a Maxx Everstart in my TrailBlazer 4 yrs ago.....started the other day like it was summertime, when it was 12* out.

Actually, I think you're right....Johnson Controls makes them. I think Exide used to make them.
