Keep it down! The Boss is watching some of the 17,000 hours of pre-recorded DVR footage, has a glass of Wine, and is Happy at the moment.

Ok, getting back to working on it. :salute:

got 8 inches of snow yesterday, and 2 the day before. I don't like sking when it's snowing - cant see much in the low light. today was great, bright sunshine, but the high this afternoon was 15 degrees at 8000 feet, and 9 degrees at 10,000. got 6 runs in though. finishing a :drunk:now. life is good!

Do you expect to have a usable OTA signal there in Stoddard?

Not sure David - some neighbors can get OTA signal using rooftop 'old school' (huge) antennas, directional-aligned.

We're at a disadvantage geographically, but are able to get some weak cell tower signal, depending on where one's at on the property.. The area where we cut / had tree work done on the south side of the house is one of those areas, it's 'possible' we may be able to thread the needle on some signal there.

    I'm currently building this design:

Design of The Gray-Hoverman Antenna - Digital Home Canada

Starting with the single-bay, but have enough materials to build (2) / modify to the two-bay design.. And can add a reflector if needed.

Unknown if this will work, but only $50 invested in all materials so far, and $25 of that was for quad-shielded Coax, which I can re-task to another use as needed.

    * Hoping to deploy a single-bay build on the back deck, with clear view of sky to magnetic 120 -> WMUR's tower, and run some testing tomorrow.

Let us know how well it works, I'm in the footprint of 4 red zone antenna high power transmitters and get 9 subs from a small RCA indoor unit in my basement. But rarely pick up the 2 subs on the fourth transmitter. I have the TV upstairs on a Sky 60 And get 21 subs on 7 transmitters.

Sorry bud, but after mentioning WMUR, I couldnt resist.

Would it help that I still thinks this sux and have some empathy? I lived in Madbury for 2 years at a location that cable did not service-it stopped a quarter mile from the farm where we rented an apartment over the garage. This was back in 94 when I had just moved from the Boston area to NH. Talk about culture shock for this former city boy. No cable, best pizza in the area is DOMINOES (the horror), Moes has "awesome Italian subs"-WRONG...the list went on and on. Now I would have just as much trouble moving back to the rat race.

Just before we moved out, cable was extended to the area. I remember coming home from work and the cable guy was there installing for us and the family that owned the place. The kids were out side treating the guy like a god-All hail the cable guy

Thanks, that was one of the antennas that came up highly rated during my searches this week.

I'll keep everyone posted on the test tomorrow - it no joy, the two-bay will have to wait until mid-next week, it's going to be too cold here Sunday/Monday for any extended outside work here.

I have since dropped the TV and phone from the package. When I can get a decent speed Internet that will change as well.

Did the full one ton clean on the stove today, well I made the boss do the leaf blower part because no way was I going through the snow piles. I did however do in one Angry Orchard hard cider. Tasted great hopefully the 6 hours between it and my wake up call pill will suffice for it to not cause problems.

I hope so since the one thing that got fouled up was me being able to go. It has been a very rude awakening for me. Things have changed a bit but until I reach normal on that I have to eat a pill at least not as many as some folks I know.

Oh I haven't put a ton through the new pot but it hasn't even stretched out anywhere.
