Good morning, near 20 degrees with some snow falling.
Weather guessers claim a couple inches when it's over and 8 degrees tonight.
I might go chase a truckload of far'wood today.

Another great looking day in Paradise here. Clear, cold and frosty. We could be getting snow/rain tonight though. I am going to try and get in my sewing room today. If you don't hear from me again, let campinspecter know I am missing!

Last night shift at the steel mill this evening. Been splitting some wood with my fiskars the last few weeks. I have 5 stacks like the one pictured. Should be over a cord so far. Had a big beech lose its top over the summer and some random ash that has accumulated.

Also bought this 60" Dixie chopper the other day for $550. Pumps leak a little, and doesn't idle well. Needs a new exhaust, carb kit and filters. Plus the blades sharpened and everything greased. Should have it pretty buttoned up in the next few days. Gonna worry about the pump leaks later.

Oh it's far from perfect. 1999 model, supply and demand for zero turn mowers in January played a part. Ha:yes:

I just don't want it to be a huge money pit if fixing the leaky pumps is costly or I have motor issues. Up to $800 with new battery, carb kit, fluids/filters and exhaust ($160 for that).

Nice deal! Even if you put a few hundred in it and some time that is a great deal.

I'm glad that lake effect snow is staying far south of us in the Burg. Some of those areas down there, like Tug Hill/ Carthage, just keep getting clobbered down there!

I just want to give a shout out to Big Brown for delivering an empty shipping tube to my house today. The end cap on the tube and a few pounds of steel rods never made it.

Wow, that is no good. What options do you have to recover?

The supplier is shipping new ones tomorrow. Great service. Spent 20 minutes online with Big Brown and they told me to call a 1-800 number to report it. That was my point of the live chat to report it.

I do miss it. I searched for dojo's but I'd have to drive to Lakewood to train (35 miles one way). I'm not gonna do that after work 3 days a week.
I'd actually like to try a new discipline, Krav Maga would be my first choice, Muay Thai a strong second. But once again, too far to be practical at this point. Someday....

If you have a place close to you, just do a walk-in, see if it's right for you.
My closest center for that is 45 minutes drive time, on a good day. But I'm going to look into it. Weekends?
