Welcome Pa. Ben you'll live the site! If you're able to you and your family will have to come to the spring get together in Williamsburg Pa if that's not too far. We had a blast last year! Hope to see you there! Their will be plenty of wood to run your saws and good food to eat.
Pa Ben, See don't you feel better about yourself, now that your addictions are out in the open. Lol. Welcome to the site.
Pa. Ben As you are finding out, your addiction is perfectly normal to the rest of us. It is even rather wide spread. Check out the 'member' tab at the top of the page and click on the map. You will see this wood and saw addiction is spread all across the country.:stacke:
Hi fellow PA hoarder! This site will definitely help you further your addictions! My hoarding goals have markedly expanded since being here. I want to be at 16 cord before the 17/18 burning season (was merely at 10 before joining... ). And I just scored four really nice pallets just today on the drive home from work... just happened to find them unexpectedly. The other benefit of being here is that now my wife understands, and fully supports, the hoarding mentality. I say that I want 16 cord for next year, and she say "sounds good to me!" Your kids will come along just as well, I'm sure!
I know that that very question should be on the FHC membership entrance exam. Welcome to the club Pa. Ben , you obviously passed the test.
Welcome, from nearby Gettysburg. You say you have some saws... we need pics for proof because around here... pics or it didn't happen.
It's all good Papadave. The boys would of tried when they were younger now I just teenage cockiness. They will learn someday.
Blacksmith, I was in Hollidaysburg last night picking up a truck for my oldest son, and that just up the road from Williamsburg. It's about an hour drive for me so it's not bad. It sounds interesting
Welcome! I know that little town well. My home is in Johnstown but I'm living in Hollidaysburg keeping an eye on my mom in the old homestead.
Sounds good you'll have to get together with me and Scotty Overkill when you get settled in. We could show you around!
Welcome aboard. I'm in PA also, where abouts are you located? You will like this forum very much I predict.
Yep, been there many times. One of the more historical areas in central PA in terms of colonial history. George Washington, General Forbes, quite a few big names graced the area during the French and Indian War.......I love local history! Hope to see you at our May GTG in Williamsburg, the exact date will be announced soon. Usually the Friday and Saturday before Memorial Day.....
