Took advantage of the dry roads today and picked up the Sirocco 30.1. I plan to bring it in from the garage tomorrow. No word from the chimney contractor yet. How is it possible to cut through the roof and fit a flashing when the asphalt shingles are brittle from the cold temps? It was 11 degrees today.
The shingles should be fine, we do it all the time. A sharp bit on a jig saw should do the trick. Congrats! Take lots of pics!
Make sure to work the shingles slowly. Yes, they do break easier in the cold.....and yes, it can be done-carefully though.
Ok Bill,....you suck. Man, I can't wait for you to get that up and running. You have a dealer up in the UP?
My 30-NC sat in my garage for a whole heating season. Don't let that happen to you. Tonight it is -5 outside, and 70 inside. Getting the overnight burn established, all is well.
