So I've been instructed by my lovely wife that I shouldn't split wood the next few days, my favourite pass time. I was installing a flood light on the wall of my sugar shanty so that I can split wood after dark, when I slipped on the ice I was standing on and dislocated my shoulder. Needless to say I'm not very happy. But I'd rather take a few days for it to heal and be able to go back to work then to reinjure it.:(

I hope it heals, ice sucks unless you're playing hockey.

Yes, heal up. Did you have to have it popped back in?

Hopefully you're not in any pain and there was no real damage.

I dislocated my shoulder once as I caught myself falling out if a barn loft. That hurts like a MoFo.

Ouch. If that is anything like the dislocated shoulder I once had you didn't need your wife to tell you to stop! Take the time off and let it heal completely before you return to it.

Perhaps it is time to consider hydraulics? I well remember when I too loved to split wood but after a few injuries I came to love hydraulics, although I do from time to time have to take a few swings.

I fell off an ATV/3wheeler many years back and dislocated my right shoulder, Not funny! :( But there is something funny to this story, When I hit the ground when it happened, it hurt so bad, I PI$$ED my pants... :emb: and I cried like a little girl. You all can laugh now!.... :p It wasn't funny then  but it is now, I can laugh at it after 35 years! Take care of that Farmboy, "Give it time to heal"!
