Straight from the Woodstock website it looks like a new, smaller stove, is in store for 2017. Should be interesting!

Exciting, I just mentioned this idea in my Absolute Steel thread.

Great idea.. something with a 2.0cu ft box, similar to Fireview or even Keystone size would be my vote.

As I get the insulation improved here, I'm seeing a need for a smaller stove with more of a longer, lower burn capability.
2-2.5 cu ft might do the trick.

Just a heads up fellas, this may not be what you are thinking it is. Woodstock has been hired to build a new stove but that's about all I can say about it right now. Keep tuned into their blog and Facebook page.

There has been mention of development of a fireplace insert based on the hybrid technology, Perhaps this is in context of that.

I'd still like to see a Keystone or Fireview outside deminsion stove. The 2.5cu ft box of the AS makes for a quite large stove even though it is smaller than the Ideal Steel it isn't that much smaller and as has been pointed out, it isn't that much cheaper either.

I love the wording WS chose to use in this little teaser. A bit like reading verses from the Bible ... can be interpreted in many ways ... but only the creator knows exactly what it means.

I'm a sucker for this form of writing and will gladly play along and fill my mind with wonderful musings of a "Fireview Supreme" model ! :D:popcorn:

AND there are 2 things in this short sentence:

    1. A new small stove in the R&D lab.
    2. Exciting news for 2017!
Can the exciting news be about something other than the stove in the R&D lab? Perhaps?

    Interesting. More info, please!

Isn't burning coal a sin against the environment or is that just more epa propaganda??

Gotta keep Virginia in work, no?
