Larry, my 16 yr. old Trailblazer got consistent washings, including the undercarriage wash in the winter. Most of the TB's the same year as mine, or even newer, have quite a bit of rust/rot, but mine has just started around the rear hatch handle......hard to notice even. Keep them clean, do normal maintenance, and they'll last a long time. My TB has 237K on it and looks and runs like new. (All synthetic fluids since 1st oil change has helped that a lot too)

    Thanks for asking David
Slick is doing really well now. He had a really hard time for a solid week to 10 days that included several extra vet visits for fluids and pain shots but he started pulling out of it and turning the corner at that point, although still slow recovery even then. The turning point was when i made a turkey sandwich from a rotisserie cooked breast-that smell got his attention and he wanted some. I gave him some really small pieces and he ate quite a bit one at a time. I think that got him eating again as he then went to his food bowl and started eating a little.

Although still not eating kibble yet, he now eats regularly in smaller amounts and looks really healthy again but the best thing is he has his old personality back and has energy I havnt seen in him in at least a year. He has only 2 teeth left but this is really looking like it was the right thing to do-he had to have been in pain for a long time.

Only problem is that what the bank reports and what he reports will be different - which can easily be caught by computer comparisons. I don't know how low the chance of that happening is though.

Glad he is back to normal. Sometimes they have ignored their hunger so long either they are no longer hungry, or no longer remember what it means. Seems the turkey helped him remember now that his teeth no longer bother him.

My cats always perk up when they think I have a rotisserie chicken (buy them at the store for cheaper than I can get the raw chidken - and I don't have to cook it:thumbs:). Rita just wants to lick it and maybe nibble - rarely does she actually eat a piece no matter how small. Fuzzy would eat the whole dang chicken if I let him!

That's a good point, I was told years ago by the H&R block folks that the reported mortgage interest should match whatever the mortgage holder reports on the annual 1098 statement - I don't think G has anything to worry about, I would just report that figure when received, regardless of payment date.

I have found I get a better wash by choosing the cheaper wash and tipping the guys a few bucks. They take more time to pre soap and that is really where the heavy stuff is taken care of.

A monthly pass for reasonable price might be a good choice too.......

The last of the windows got trimmed today - only took 5 hours (yes, I am that slow). Here is the office set of side-by-sides. All done except that 51.5" of a certain piece that I didn't have anymore of. So the left side of the right hand window is just 90% done (that is why the cove is leaning against the window - waiting for it's companion piece).

Exactly. I dont take chances to gain a few dollars, it isnt worth it.

The IRS doesnt fool around if your number comes up. My neighbor literary lost his business due to an error. For at least 5 years, he paid back the error and fines well over ten times until the only way to get out from under IRS thumb was to close the business and file bankruptcy. My honeys sister and BIL had issues 20ish years ago with his business-the IRS agent actually told her sister "you know most marriages dont survive these". They did survive but I think he had to eventually close and restructure-not sure, but he does have a same type of business now.

Glad that kitty is eating again. It hasn't been fun for him I'm sure. But like people food in waste out is a good thing. I like cats and don't like when they are hurting.

Problem with cats is that they hide pain very well. Sometimes it's only when it get really bad do you have a clue something is up.

Also, purring is not only a sign of content, it is also something they do when in pain.

I hope it helps Larry. I read an article before I bought my truck about whether or nut undercoating/rustproofing is needed and the car mfg.'s say the best way to fight rust is to keep the car clean. So I'll find out.

My cat does the same. Likes to sleep near my feet. Not sure why she chooses my side. Every once in a while, she forgets where she is and attacks my feet. That's not pleasant for any of us.
