Nice job on that tree, genius if you ask me. Glad all was safe - enjoy the bonfire, and have a happy New year!
Solid work guys! Me too...face on the bed sheets just not sure if it will be before or after midnight...
I was always told to never climb higher than you were willing to fall. Lol, JK Nice work and problem solving, stay safe.
Dang, a little caulking or bondo and that tree's as good as new, you tree killer! You learn a little with each tree don't cha nice work.
Same here, no driving involved when I'm getting roasted at home. That looked pretty scary Scotty. blacksmith must have a pair that's forged.
That is a fact. One thing is for sure, you gotta stay humble doing tree removals. You always have room to learn and improve.
You guys sound just like my buddy and I. Tree work and all. Everyone always wants to know why we are so mean to each other but we just can't help but laugh just good ol' ball bustin
You read that splicing procedure in a book , or was that good ole American ingenuity ? MacGyver'ing at it's best. Good safe job Happy New Year
I was going to try and set up a DRT and climb with a VT hitch setup on the neighboring tree, but I didn't have all that gear with me. I refuse to spike-climb a tree that we're not felling, and this particular widowmaker was stable enough to use the method we used..... Had it been bigger or "hairier", I'd have done the other method.
