That was breakfast and lunch (didn't eat before my filling - so ate those around 11:30). No bread or condiments - I'm a true carnivore sometimes :D.

o_O:picard:. Gas in the crankcase just gave everything an extra cleaning. Sounds like you got a great deal - I love "refurbs like that!

They're hedging their bets by saying up to 16-19" in higher terrain. Hopefully that is in those reddish areas though!

One year (late 90's I think) there were three storms of 3+ feet in a row - in southern NH. That one sucked - I was working 3rd shift 28 miles away, taking classes in Concord (30 miles the opposite direction) at night, and shoveling 120' of driveway (half of the horseshoe) and a couple hundred feet of paths (from driveway to house, from driveway to oil tank, from back of house to dog pen etc). Ex was working in Maine for 5 weeks (and had the truck with the plow), so he missed all the fun.

Never had one - never wanted one.

I did think about stopping to get my hair cut, but didn't have time. I get my hair cut by a pro every year or two - the rest of the time I just hack at it myself .

I was up until 12:30 am so I slept in until 5 AM (I don't work my day job this week). Got bills paid, was on FB and other forums, but didn't have the time to devote to this one, so left it until later.

Christmas Day I started doing the inside trim for my windows. Now mind you, I had the windows replaced in the summer of 2014, so this project is a little overdue. In my defense, I needed more than a day or two off to do the job because:
    • There was no sheetrock up when the windows were installed (I had demo'd all the sheetrock and replaced all the insulation before the windows were installed).
    • The sheetrock that was subsequently installed was 1/2" instead of the 1/4" that was originally there. This meant that I had to make up anywhere from 1/2" to 7/8" between the window and the sheet rock.
    • I have never done window trim before, and when I have to do a project like that, getting started is the hard part.
First pictures are of the completed trim for the living room bay window, bedroom bay window, and living room small window behind the pellet stove.

This shows the typical height difference that I had to work with (and the sheet rock that I had to trim off to make abutting joints more even.

I still have 3 windows about the size of the smaller window shown to trim along with a small bathroom window and tow sice-by-side windows in the office (area about the size of the living room bay window).

Another excuse not to get the trim done previously - the hassle of bringing up the air compressor and dealing with the electrical cord and air hose. So, the star of the show was this refurbished Ryobi brad nailer that I ordered and came in the end of last week. It was the star of the show!

    All is well.

Cleaned both Stoves yesterday afternoon in preparation for the coming COLD

By mid next week we are looking at Snow and temps in the low teens

This will be a two stove slog for sure.

Gonna really burn some shells with these low temps.

Just hope we don't get a huge dump of snow.

Its a pain in the butt to deal with a large snow fall.

WE have to swing down the center poles under the roof trusses in the horse arena and wedge them in place to help support things

Back in 2008 we had 3-4 feet on the ground and many arena's went down.

Ours was the only one in the area that did not (At least of the ones built without steel spans)

It's 60 feet wide and 100 feet long and has wood trusses.

Scary to think about the tonnage on that roof when it snows a lot.

Built in 1996 and has done really well.

I hate the BS of dealing with that big building in cold weather.

At least we set up the water so it is easy to shut off and drain quickly.

Toss the hose in the heated tack room, drain the stand pipe and call it good until the next feeding time.

    Ahhhh well, it's winter.

WE are due for a good one.

Last couple have been pretty benign as far as cold and snow goes, just wet.

Unfortunately, gas in the crankcase of any engine isn't good. Washing down the bearings can result in a lot of wear in a short amount of time, and since we have no idea if the original owner actually ever got it started, there's no way to tell if any damage was done. Good thing it has the 3 year warranty. Great deal IF it actually never even got started.
