I'm in the 6-12" range. But it also depends on where that line ends up being. It is possible for me to end up in the 5-10". Either way I'm going to be snow blowing.

I wasn't visiting this morning because I had chit to do and left before 8 am for my dentist appointment. Stopped by L*wes first, then dentist, then HD/Target/BB&B and Irving (I was starving by then so got a couple of cheddar dogs). Then to Agway and TSC for bird and wildlife food, filled up the truck with gas. When I got home unloaded all the stuff I'd gotten from the BBS's and farm stores. Then I moved the ton of Inferno's out of the shed and into the basement. Used the Explorer so it only took two trips :D. Did laundry (wash/dry/fold), fed the wild birds and squirrels, gave the kitties treats, the dishes are currently being washed and gotta go to my night job here pretty soon.

Looks like ground zero here according to the weatherfolks. :picard:

We're gonna get blasted here on the mountain.. Calling for 12"+ here .. But I got another snowblower.

Stopped by Home Depot last night to pickup some T-50 staples, saw a Toro Power Max 724 OE on the floor marked down 25% ($599 vs. $799), a customer return, asked about it - was told "there are actually some people who don't know how to add gas to a snowblower" .. Near as I can tell, PO thought the oil fill was fuel fill, I pulled the oil dipstick - the crankcase still smelled like fuel. :picard:

But since they weren't able to start it, the HD folks drained it / tested it / put it on the floor / and it still carries the (new) full 3 yr. warranty, I figured WTH, it was one of the models I was looking at back in November.

We picked it up today: added fresh oil at the store, threw in some fuel, started 2nd pull, auger worked fine, motor sounds fine, drive train working as new, put it in gear and backed it up onto the utility trailer.. And off we went.

Ran it for about 10 mins. after getting home, checked the oil, just a faint fuel smell. I'll change the oil out for fresh in the a.m., before the snow starts to fly.

We'll see how it throws snow tomorrow, will snap a pic or two.

Since these things only use a qt or so of oil, I've been putting full synthetic 0w or 5w -30 in mine. Makes it easier to start on those really cold days.

Yep, 17 oz. to fill the small (6.5 HP equivalent) crankcase on the motor. :loco:  (2 glugs from the jug, and it was full @ HD.)

Got 5w - 30 semi-synth in it now ('cause it's all I had on the shelf this am), / for tomorrow's oil change & fun, but I'm going to pickup some full synth on Friday, and treat 'er right.
