We always talk about what santa got us. Let's hear about the best gift you gave this Christmas. Mine was the gift certificate I got my dad to a gun range. He hasn't carried in 35 years or so and sold his guns back then. A while back he started asking me about helping him purchase a carry gun. I tried and tried and tried to get him to the range with me to no avail. He wouldn't go for some reason. I went out and spent the cash at a gun shop so he can try all the guns he wants, pay for ammo and range fees etc. Now he will go. He won't let that money go to waste. The fact that I will finally get to shoot with my dad after 38 years ......priceless! So.....what gift put a smile on your face while you handed it out?
A good friend of mine brought his sons a couple of motorbikes, one of which broke down before sun down Christmas Day. My mate Rob called me up while I was having dinner for advice, his son has ADHD and did not understand why his new bike was broken or why it could not be fixed immediately. I went to his place on Boxing Day and fixed the bike and made his special needs son very happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thanks. And I hope you have a lot of good times shooting with your farther. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Slippers! For Mrs. DG, so she'll stop borrowin mine to go down and sit in front of the stove and then holler upstairs for me to come down and check the stove and I got no slippers! Edit: I forgot to tag bobdog2o02
I got my wife a waterproof ipod shuffle. Last year she started swimming laps everyday during lunch and had to give up listening to music while she worked out. It's something she'll use every day, but she would have never spent the money on herself.
We adopted a couple families in town here that have fallen on hard times. When we were riding to pickup some furniture today it was pleasant to see kids outside actually playing (of course it was 75F) Bikes for a 5 & 7 yo boy and girl and a trampoline for a family of 4 kids - - they were bouncing like crazy. A bunch of other needed gifts were given but I thought these would be fun - that's what Christmas is all about for kiddos
I made my daughter a giant Jenna game and a storage box. She loved it and I forgot to take a picture.
I don't do Christmas, have no reason to. But, I did give a couple of gift earlier this month that might qualify as "Christmas Gifts". One was a donation to the Animal Rescue League who had just had a huge influx of animal from a hoarding/neglect situation. And the other was a donation to an FHC member for a family member's surgery.
