    We think he has wifi in his system, its just not currently on. He hasn't been able to check it it yet, but I game him some logon credentials to try.

    Maybe he is just hardwire ing into his router.

    My modem is also a router. I plug my ether net cable directly into it. Everything else is wifi

    He cable modem has a router built into it. It appeared that router has wifi capabilities, as evidenced by an antenna and confirmed in the owner's manual. However, many cable companies disable the wifi unless you pay them extra, so we will see.

    I use to have my own till we needed this "bonded" special one. And I got it frees it's what I'm useimg. But I won't buy theirs when this one takes a dump

    Right on, I don't want some used crap they got, always set my own stuff up and run it, upgrade when I see fit.
    I don't know, but they probably take their sweet time upgrading for you

    Yep. We had 10mbs for years. They never offered up the info that they could upgrade my speed to 14mbs and save me like a dollar a month in the process!

    My wife just so happens to be sleeping in late too. I found it pretty funny.
