Poor cat, my little buddy has been freaking out, running around, hiding under the bed in the basement part of the time, last couple days with the roof job going on he didn't get it all his cat naps in.
He slept all night, took my spot and slept all day long too
Woke him up just now, he came out to lay in front of the stove

 

Oh, poor guy. Their home is their whole world and they don't understand the disruption. Hope things settle down for him.
After the huge hail storm last summer, and literally every roof in my town got replaced, poor Buddy went through the same thing. It's hard on then because they don't understand what's going on. Love your cat. That will help. Chief

 

Poor kitty!

OTH, my cats and Birdie are so used to the demolition and construction that has been going on for the last 2 years that they don't even bat an eye unless I make them move. BUT, they scatter when a vacuum is running (even a shop vac), go figure.

Saucy is the smart one! Reminds me of my Oggie, gone 3 years now. Miss her still. When she got old the wood stove was her friend. And I made sure it was always warm for her. Miss her so much.

I think he's rested up better now he's playing with his fake mice.
Heck, freaked me out a couple of times, when they throw a bundle of shingles down on the roof, the house shakes and it sounds like it's coming right through.
My last cat this kind of stuff didn't bother him, I can't even kick out the jams now, it scares the crap out of him, but it's understandable because when, I kick out the jams the house shakes and windows rattle

 

My male dog hates the vac. He runs in a panic. The female dog wants to play with the vac, the cats run and hide. They hide during family gathering. Family just left, still have one cat to account for.

The Rainbows Bridge Poem

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt
or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them,
who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying
over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous
reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the

I know that story by heart. It makes this old man well up with tears, because I helieve God knows how much we love them and that this is going to happen when I die. I have 3 waiting on me right now. Maybe 4 by the time I croak. At my age, I am a little unsetttled about this dying thing. But this story and my belief that it is going to happen, makes it a little easier. You see, I love my dogs so much that their passings have been the hardest things I have ever encountered. Ok, I spilled my guts. But thanks nobody, you are somebody to me. Chief
