The mechanic that I work with , a good friend bought one last year , his 1st stove . In been a major PIA for him , he's kicking himself for not listening to me and get the Harman p43 .
AGP any grade pellet not in his experience , any thing But :hair::hair: Tech's have been to house a few times to get this thing dialed in . When it's on awesome heat , when it's not dirty lazy flame extra cleaning ....
Russell this is just a 2nd hand opinion / review the dealer has been good to him replaced boards ect .. this stove just seems to be pellet pickey for him
Call this the 1 star review .

Man, YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT!!!

I think the way to approach installing a stove upstairs is to somehow make it that it was her idea and that it was a very good one   The problem is, how do you make that happen? :D

I think I remember issues with the agp when it first came out. Not sure what the problem was, or if it was ever addressed. I think don2222 knows about them.

SBI makes a great stove! The Enerzone brand is pricey but the Drolets are very affordable and they make almost the same unit as Enerzone. The Drolet Eco-65 is pretty much the same unit as the Enerzone Euromax. These are heat machines that are rated at 65,000 BTU and bottom feed. The are very good at self cleaning (burn pot). I can go a week easily before the speed bump build up affects burn performance.

As for the APP? I don't know anyone that has one, but what I've read is pretty much what others have said, seems they have some issues.

I am very happy with the Eco65. Not sure if its my altitude or brand of pellets but we don't have to scrape the burn pot very often like Dex said. I do a deep cleaning 4 times per year, kept losing track of how many tons go through it and we burn 5-7 tons a year. It been running 24/7/365 since Sept 2014 with the exception of a summer afternoon once in a while or if it runs out of pellets at night. You could duct one too if you wanted.

Local code guy was far happier that I installed metal duct to the floor vents. Considered a fire stop no different from a ducted furnace. ;)

Yes it has 2 auger motors and the one that runs the cutting disc was not heavy or strong enough. Travis did come out with a fix, a stronger auger motor. :)

If you want peace of mind and a stove that cranks out the heat, buy a Harman. I'd trade my wife for another one any day.

I did that after having a lot of headaches from my prior pellet stove. This stove burns anything. It is way cleaner and more easy to clean than my other stove. One of my other sons has my first stove. I bought my stove with the recommendation of other FHC members. They are right about this stove.

a lot of good advice above....don't know, bad or good, abt AGP. I do concur that 41k btu/hr for $3300 seems a bit low for heat output for the basement......I'd seriously look at the P68 or P61A.....$/btu, a better deal, IMHO, but I do sell Harman, so maybe biased.....bottom feed is a good choice!

I am somewhat curious though.....what are he advantages of the AGP over the Harman.....it isn't price, as that price is close to a p61A (which has 20k btu/hr more), and a P68 is close as well...a couple hundred more......frankly, I'd go with the P61A, save a couple hundred, and know it puts out 50% more heat......
One valid argument might be dealers....maybe the Harman dealer is far away, or a bad rep?

I think he was just mulling options. And might have got a bit of dealer phlouff when he stopped in.

You know how dem dealers are!
