I have one just next to the basement door where the heat just sits so now it can rise upstairs and the stove is facing straight at the upstairs door so it blows right up to the next level . You can shut the vent if you want . I'm not looking to get into a big project just thinking about a better stove in the future :D

I have one too right over the top of the stove , it was put in when the house was built 25 years ago , not many Building Codes in the Poconos , back then , not sure what they have today

I'm totally serious when I say little to no codes here in the Poconos , when I had this house built , no building inspectors ever came by that I know of , if there were even any .

Looks like only the new stoves are getting the board upgrade? Lousyweather do you think they will eventually migrate the digital controller to the other stoves?

I stopped at the Harman dealer today and they said the older units weren't going to change because some people still like them . IMG_20161221_122018.jpg

Everything is over 4 grand . Do you think it would take much to move my unit on Craigslist next year for maybe $ 1,500 - 2,000 ? Only used 2 seasons

Your Quad? I would guess maybe around $1200ish. We should play like a price right and see who can get closest to what you sell it for.

I wouldn't rule out buying your replacement stove as a used unit either. Whether on CL or from a dealer, there are usually some good deals to be had, especially if you are patient. I regularly see used Harmans go for (asking price) $1500 - $2500 around here. A leftover or display unit at a dealer for a nice discount would be great too.

Not much of a bargain, Just a bit more and you'd get the new one IMHO.

I have seen 4 to 6 year old for about $2200 ish.......
