Just thinking ahead . I know I have an excellent stove in the CB1200 but I'm looking into something that will just push those pellets into the ash pan and not need to be shut down so often for a cleaning / 60,000 BTU .

A bit classier than the P68 and the new digital controller looks even simpler than the analog.

Just hope the 50K BTU is enough. The P68 would offer more oomph in the cold.

Tough not pluggin the Maxx M to him. :emb:

2 small stoves might be better than 1 big one. Many here have added the second stove to even the heat.

Basement installs are tough/tricky!! A ducted furnace would be another option to think about. Also self cleaners and less fidlin too. Take a peak at the Endurance 50F and the many threads on them.

It's a great idea but unfortunately my wife didn't want a stove upstairs but that worked out because the basement is nice and cozy and upstairs 90 percent of the time . It's only when we get into the teens when we have to use one hallway baseboard unit .

That Allure50 looks pretty nice. And it has an appropriately sized hopper.

Allure50 Pellet Stove Videos + Tutorials | Harman Stoves

looks like the maint of the Allure is easy and same as free standing Harmans..
only difference is pushing buttons before each phase of cleaning.. turning things off i assume..
I would like it more if it we're at least 60K btu..

That is way EZ to clean that the heat exchanger is smooth not the accordion style and they give you the paint brush and exhaust brush . for the $$ you spend they should .

Great info , so far when the time comes I'm leaning towards the P68 for the extra BTUs . I am wondering about the blower unit's power but if the stove is always on that shouldn't be an issue . I also don't mind the anolog dial system seems simple enough .
