Yes Shea's. It was pretty good, we all know the story but was cool to see it put to music. How could anyone not like A Christmas Story? Where in NY are you?

Nice work, i cut alot of cherry for my indoor bbq every year, great for grillin. I do a white bean and bacon chicken chili in the cast iron pot and its takes on a delicious smokey flavor, might have to do some today for football. Love the pics!

I also have a bunch of cherry along with oak, apple, pear and a little bit of maple split small and dried out for my smoker. Suppose to be getting some mesquite from a buddy who is working in Texas right now.

That chili sounded so good you inspired me. Looked up a recipe and its simmering away right now, on the stove though not open fire outside seeing its 20 out. Will have to try it this summer though over the fire.

Got load 4 today. Empty space in the racks are full again, feels good. Probably going to let the rest sit till I burn up some more and create some more space. All the wood to the left under tarps should be gone by spring. Helpers were out with me today, got themselves a few baby mice and were so proud of themselves, catch something more challenging, geez! Dogs crack me up.

Haven't updated you guys in a while, left off with load 4. Well, there's 8 loads done, seven in my stacks, one in my dads and one more waiting to go out to camp next week. Yield of 9 total. Around 1/2/3 cord I guess. Not a bad score, my racks are full again and I could be done for the year if I chose to be but we all know I'll keep hoarding. Few pictures for y'all. Had run out of light today so put up a work lamp and went to stacking. Beautiful night out, zero wind, calm and quiet about 25 degrees.

    Snow covered load.

Last empty spot in the racks. Helpers were out tonight. Not so much helping as much as searching for vermin.

Not full yet but that's all I have split.

Built a temporary shelter for the rest of this years dry wood, rest (another cord) is already up on the deck.

Got another half cord of unsplit rounds to get through. Also have a nice white white oak at camp waiting for me. Bring all the primo wood home and leave so so wood at camp seeing its only used a few times during the dead of winter.

    White oak.
