I think it was around 4.5 tons. The year before was about somewhere between 6 & 7 tons.

So far have been using the 2 tons plus 18 bags I had already in the basement (took pictures 9/25/16). Also bought 8 bags of TSC hardwoods to mix in with the ThermoGlo's (had coupon for 10% off, so couldn't resist the temptation). Have 3 tons in garage and 1 ton in shed. Up until I break into the 6 tons in the yard, it will be pretty easy to keep track of this year since I shouldn't be buying large amounts of pellets.

Just started a spreadsheet about 20 minutes ago for tracking this year's usage. Figure now is a good time to start getting an idea of how much I would use so when my fire sale stash starts getting depleted, I can budget in to get what I'll need in one or two deliveries.

It's not like they are endless..
I wanted some for my shop the other day, but did not take any,
and instead took them out of my house stash..
Henry told me not to worry, but I wanted to save what he had for bag customers..
Had only about 30 bags of Spruce Pointe..
Right now very hard time getting some brands.. (for us)
Out of Pointes, Vandy's, La Cretes and DF's... and not because of not ordering enough..
2-3 weeks out... truckers are not getting return loads, so they wait until
they get something to bring back.. It all comes from Canada.
Plus, some of the other places shut down for two weeks
    at holiday time..
Plenty of pellets in their yards... but not truckers (on demand)..
Still have LG Granules and Supers..
So all set for the weekend, as the snow
will keep many pickups down today.
Other stuff should be here (hopefully) early this week..
This is one crappy area for energy supplies.......

we havent really had issues getting product....try our best to use semi-local truckers who want to be in their own home at night.....
currently have NEWP, Vermont, Patriot fir, Blackstone, Northern Warmth Purely Pine, Northern Warmth Fir, Barefoot, Turman, and a partridge in a pear tree...

    Yeah... we've seen them.
The big thing here, is that Henry is not a huge dealer, and wants to keep it that way.
He really does it pretty much alone. I just do the easy stuff!!
The customer base is used to what we have, and they return..
By adding the La Cretes a few years ago, and the Pointes, Platinums, DF's,
we offer more variety than anyone in our area... And better pricing.
Others may advertise a boat load of brands, but when you call, they only have a few.
We have never run out... even during the horrible shortage, when we were the ONLY
ones around that had pellets... people were driving from three or four states
to get them! they might have only got 5 bags... but they had heat..

:bug: - and you be way further south than me. Guess it makes my 87 look pretty reasonable.
    :jaw:

Okay, new game, how many bags per sq/ft (heated by pellets) so far this year.

I've got 1,600 sq ft between main floor and basement so dividing 87 by 1600 = a reasonable 0.054 bags per square foot so far this year

    38 / 1900 = 0.02

    I average 3.5 tons (175/1900 = 0.093) if I did that right??

I don't even know how to look at it. On the one hand, I like winning :rootintootin:, on the other hand, I'm losing :emptywallet:wise, which I think is worse.
